Last weekend, for the first time in about a year, I had the chance to disconnect and do absolutely nothing.
My girlfriend’s dad owns a cottage that’s basically in the middle of nowhere–it’s perched atop a cliff that overlooks a river—and we drove down to spend the weekend relaxing in the hot tub (pictured below), playing cards, and reading. (Hell, even if I wanted to connect to do some work, I couldn’t—there’s no cell or Internet connectivity at the place.)
Last weekend was the perfect complement to my Year of Productivity experiment, because after an entire year of trying to be as productive as possible, it felt pretty damn great to live in a vacuum where all I could do was relax!
I’m going to continue to relax and plan for the next few weeks—albeit, at our house and not by the lake—so there won’t too many (if any) posts coming your way during that time. After a huge year of cranking out exactly 200 articles on productivity, I’m excited for some time to put my feet up to reflect, relax, and plan.
I truly appreciate you following my journey my journey so far. I can’t wait to share some of the cool things I have coming around the corner :-)
